Jay R. Lieberman, MD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Southern California assumed the presidency of The Hip Society on March 26, 2022 at the Open (Winter) Meeting in Chicago, IL. Dr. Lieberman stated: “It is a tremendous honor and one of the highlights of my professional career to be President of one of the most prestigious organizations in all of orthopaedic surgery. Since its inception in 1968, The Hip Society has been committed to advancing the care of patients with disorders of the hip and over the past few years there has been an increased focus on creating new educational ventures and research. It is a privilege as President to work with The Hip Society Board of Directors and other colleagues in the organization to foster a diverse membership that will continue to enhance the care of patients via advances in clinical care, education and research.”
