MEMBERS OF THE HIP SOCIETY

The Hip Society's membership is invitational.  Candidates are identified by current members, and after an initial review by the Membership Committee Chair, may be invited to apply.  Annually, only up to six (6) new Active members are inducted into the Society.  The size of the Society is limited in its bylaws to no more than 100 Active members and 25 Adjunct members.  Candidates undergo a rigorous review, and the process is competitive.  Being a member of The Hip Society is an honor and a privilege, and a recognition of one's professional achievements.

New members are expected to serve our patients and our profession by actively participating in the educational activities of the Society and continuing to advance research in our field.
